In addition to the degree of popularity brought him by the novels, in recent months Andrea Camilleri has become even more of a media icon thanks to the parodies aired on an RAI radio show, where popular comedian, TV-host and impression artist Fiorello giga him as a raspy voiced, caustic character, madly in love with cigarettes and smoking Camilleri is well-known for his love of tobacco.

Ingrid woman from book 1 if memory serves makes an appearance along with a doctor that is supposedly has big part in this situation. Real drama comes from inside complex characters, their different facets all whirling chaotically to create the energy to drive the story.
Books by Andrea Camilleri. Inafter a long pause of 12 years, Camilleri once more took up novel-writing. There is humour, the Mafia, engaging characters, and the Sicilian landscape and availability of fresh fish that makes me want to tinari in the place.
